Inviting Your Kids To A Boston Tea Party

When you are looking to mix history with a great and fun time, you’ll find that a summer vacation is a terrific place to get plenty of both!

Looking at both the history and the entertainment, you’ll find that you need to think about heading to the Marriott Long Wharf, which is situated right next to Boston Harbor.  When you realize that there are plenty of hotels that are located right nearby, you’ll be overwhelmed by the options that are open to you.  You’ll also be able to take a quick peak at the New England Aquarium, where you and your family will be exposed to all sorts of sharks, fish and barracudas.  When you want to rest for a bit, check out the IMAX 3-D theater that is close by.

At the hotel, you’ll find that there are plenty of ways that you can relax.  In this wonderfully smoke-free environment, you’ll get to take advantage of an indoor pool and sundeck when you want to recover from the day’s events.  Nearby, you’ll find the Quincy Market, where there is some of the best shopping.

Though this historic area has plenty of museums to choose from, you will find that the Museum of Science is the one that might best suit your kids.  There is an outdoor area, where you can test out the laws of physics first hand, and there is also a Theatre of Electricity, where you can show your kids some really “shocking” things!

At the Children’s Museum, you’ll find a great place for younger children, with events that were designed specifically for them and activities that are tailored for their small size.

At the hotel, you will only be a block away from Faneuil Hall, where you can eat outdoors while watching the outstanding outdoor independent performers.

If you are traveling with kids who have been to a history class or two, make sure that you take them to the Boston Tea Party ship and museum.  You can take a look at the tall ships as well as go on board one, and you can even eat while you are there.

If you have older kids in your family, make sure that you check out the Freedom Trail Walking Tour, where you can see over a dozen historical sites, including a tour of the house of Paul Revere.

If your family has one or more sports fans, you will find that you can check out historic Fenway park and catch a baseball game.  For someone who is more interested in music, there is the Boston Symphony and for someone who loves animals, there is the Franklin Park Zoo.  Take the Boston Movie Mile tour, or let your kids make their own jewelry at Beadworks.

When you want to see American cuisine in action, take a look at the famous Boston beans at the waterfront, at Faneuil Hall, or at any of the many many downtown eateries.  You can also check out plenty of international places to eat or try a Boston clambake!

When you want to have a vacation to remember, check out Boston, Massachusetts!
